What am I supposed to do with the dartboard?

Did you notice that the dartboard spins?

Did you notice the white arrow at the bottom?

  • Do three of those words sound like numbers?

  • No, it doesn’t matter where the dartboard starts. Just spin it TO the correct number to unlock. Don’t move it two numbers to the right, move it all the way around until the arrow is pointing at the number two.

  • Tech can be finnicky! Try doing it again, and make sure that you stop on each of the “correct” numbers for at least five seconds, and don’t stop on any of the other numbers. Also make sure that the arrow is pointing EXACTLY at the number, not slightly off to the side.

  • Spin the dartboard to the right until the arrow points at the number 2. Hold it there for five seconds. Then spin the dartboard to the left until the arrow points at the number four. Hold for five seconds. Then spin the dartboard to the right until the arrow points at the number 10. Hold for five seconds. A light should click on in the mirror revealing the DAGGER.

 

IF YOU ARE AT HOWARD’S BOOKSTORE, USE THE FOLLOWING HINT (Scroll up to the top if you are at Bad Dog Brewery):

  • Consult your police files. There are SIX different items to be found in the windows. Each item listed will result in a number. For example, there is one saddle to be found in the windows. That gives you the number 1.  Find all six numbers and see how they relate to the dartboard.

  • Once you have the six numbers, look at the dartboard. Each of the six numbers corresponds with a number on the dartboard.  If you put each word in ascending order, you should get a secret message from the Butlers.

  • If you put the numbers in ascending order, it would be:

    Number of Saddles: 1

    Number of Paper Lanterns: 2

    Number of colors below the snow (painting): 6

    Number of exclamation points: 7

    Number of the second hand (of the clock): 9

    Number of black keys on the bottom row (of the organ): 18

    Now match those numbers with the corresponding words on the dartboard:

    1 = Boddy

    2 = hid

    6 = dagger.

    7 = can’t

    9 = be

    18 = weapon

    Boddy hid dagger. Can’t be weapon.

    You can eliminate the dagger from the possible murder weapon.
